Dental Assistants

Sheila Simonsen

Sheila joined the Broadway Dental family as a certified and Registered Dental Assistant in 2000. She was certified through the Dental Assisting Program at Iowa Western Community College and is certified to perform expanded duty functions.

Sheila lives in Manilla with her husband, Bill, and their children, Mason and Makenna. In her spare time Sheila enjoys constructing puzzles with her children, reading, and going for walks.

Mandy is a Certified and Registered Dental Assistant with expanded duty function certification. She is a graduate of Iowa Western Community College in Council Bluffs and joined Broadway Dental in 2003.

Mandy and her husband were married in 2001 and have four children. In her spare time, she enjoys swimming, walking, going for drives, playing at the park, and watching movies with her family.

Tami McCollough

Tami graduated from Des Moines Area Community College (DMACC) in 2009. She joined the Broadway Dental Team as a Registered/Certified Pediatric Dental Assistant in 2012 and is now an Expanded Functions Dental Assistant.

Tami is originally from Schleswig and now resides on an acreage east of Denison with her husband, Brad, two daughters, Hallie and Aubrie, and their three sons Dierk, Trace and Clay. Brad and Tami run a farm in addition to raising show cattle and Labrador Retrievers. Tami enjoys spending time on the farm with her family, horseback riding, and teaching her girls how to care for the animals.

Carmen is a Certified/Registered Dental Assistant with expanded duty function certification.  She gained her Dental Assistant Certification from Western Iowa Tech Community College in 2011 after receiving an Associates Degree from DMACC in 2010

Carmen grew up on a farm between Charter Oak and Ute. She now lives in Charter Oak with her husband John and sons Kelby and Rhett. Outside of work, she stays busy with her boys and also loves reading, shopping and spending time with her family.

Haley is an Expanded Functions Dental Assistant who graduated from Des Moines Area Community College in Ankeny and joined the Broadway Dental team in 2013.

Haley was born and raised in Denison, IA, and she now resides in Charter Oak with her husband, Colton, and daughters, Wrenley and Elsie. In her free time, she enjoys walking, playing golf, and being outside with her family and dog, Boone.

Casey Krier

Casey graduated from Iowa Western Community College in 2018. She joined the Broadway Dental team in 2019 as a Registered Dental Assistant and in 2020 received her expanded functions.

Casey grew up in the Ute area and now resides in Soldier with her husband Jay and son Ronan. She enjoys traveling, spending time with her family and friends, and watching the Chiefs play football.

Karen Muell

Karen Muell joined the Broadway Dental team in September 2020, shortly after she received her Expanded Functions Certificate. She brings with her many years of experience, which all started with her graduating from Iowa Western Community College’s Dental Assisting Program.

Karen grew up in the Panama area and still lives there today with her husband, Dale.

They have three grown sons, two grandsons, one granddaughter, and a wonderful daughter-in-law. Karen loves spending time with her family and enjoying many outdoor activities in her free time.

Ann originally grew up in Denison and graduated high school year there. After High school, she went to Iowa Western Community College and received her Dental Assisting Certificate in 2019. After college, she worked in a Council Bluffs office before making her way back to her hometown.

Ann enjoys spending time with family and friends and loves to be outdoors as much as possible.

Gesell is a Certified Dental Assistant. She graduated from Western Iowa Tech Community College in May of 2022. Gesell completed her clinical work at Broadway Dental and became a part of the Broadway Dental team in June of 2022.

Gesell is originally from Carroll, Iowa but grew up in Denison. During her free time she enjoys spending time with her family, dogs, and loves painting.
